Role of Storage Québec

Storage Québec acts as a technology intermediary. The platform is not the owner, lessor, operator or manager of spaces listed by its users.

The agreement concerning the rental and use of a space is entered into directly between the space provider and the renter.

Storage Québec provides tools for publishing listings, searching for spaces, making reservations, communicating between users and facilitating payments.

Platform operator

Listing information

Descriptions, photographs, dimensions, features, prices, availability and other information about spaces are provided by the users who publish the listings.

Each space provider is responsible for the accuracy of the information published and must have the necessary rights and authorizations to offer the space for rent.

The publication of a listing does not constitute a guarantee by Storage Québec regarding the condition, safety, compliance or characteristics of a space.

Storage Québec may review, modify, suspend or remove listings in accordance with its Terms of Use.

User responsibilities

The space provider remains responsible for the space offered, its accessibility and compliance with applicable legal and contractual obligations.

The renter remains responsible for using the space in accordance with the reservation terms and applicable rules.

Storage Québec does not take possession of stored property and does not provide custody of that property.

The respective obligations of users, restrictions concerning stored property and other applicable rules are detailed in the Terms of Use.

Nothing in this Legal Notice is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

Insurance and stored property

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Storage Québec does not provide insurance covering property stored in spaces listed on the platform.

Space providers and renters are encouraged to verify with their insurers whether their existing coverage applies to renting storage space or storing property.

Insurance coverage, exclusions and limits depend on the agreements entered into with the relevant insurers.

Payments and financial services

Storage Québec uses payment service providers, including Stripe, to facilitate the processing of transactions made through the platform.

Applicable reservation fees are presented during the reservation process and governed by the Terms of Use.

Payment, cancellation, refund and space provider payout terms are described in the Terms of Use and applicable policies.

Resolution Center

Users may submit reservation-related issues through the Storage Québec Resolution Center, according to the features available on the platform.

The Resolution Center allows users to provide information concerning a dispute and follow its progress.

Any involvement by Storage Québec in a dispute does not make the platform a party to the rental agreement between users.

Rights and remedies provided under applicable law remain unaffected.

Intellectual property

The Storage Québec name, logo, graphic elements, texts, software and other content belonging to the operator are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution or commercial exploitation of these elements is prohibited, except where permitted by law.

Users remain responsible for the content they publish and must hold the necessary rights to use it.

Third-party services

Storage Québec uses external technology providers for certain functions, including hosting, databases, authentication and payment processing.

Certain services may be subject to the terms and policies of their respective providers.

The processing of personal information is described in the Storage Québec Privacy Policy.

Platform availability

Storage Québec takes reasonable measures to maintain the accessibility and functionality of its services.

Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, security incidents or the unavailability of an external provider.

Platform services and features may evolve, subject to applicable legal obligations.

Applicable law

The Storage Québec platform is operated in Québec, Canada.

This Legal Notice is governed by the laws applicable in Québec and Canada, without limiting any mandatory rights granted to consumers or other users by law.
